TDP lambasts Sakshi paper for false stories on party

Hyderabad, Feb.9: The Telugu Desam Party threatened to file a defamation case against the management of a regional paper if it continues to print concocted and false stories tarnishing the image of the party.

Reacting sharply to news published in Sakshi newspaper, owned by YSRCP President Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, that the Telangana unit of the TDP was sending feelers to TRS for merger, the TDP Spokesperson N. Narsi Reddy that newspaper was notorious in publishing such false and imaginary stories. Even in the past the same paper has published that the ther TDP Headquarters NTR Bhavan would be locked soon as TRS-TDP merger was imminent, he pointed out.

            Narsi Reddy charged that Chief Minister KCR’s hidden hand was very much there behind such false stories appearing in the paper. He without naming YRCP pointed out that the party owning the paper had in fact had facilitated the defection of twp party MLAs to TRS. While demanding the management of the paper to tender an unconditional apology for writing false stories against TDP, he warned that of the trend continued then TDP would have no other option but take legal recourse.
