Boora predicts exit of Congress in 2019 polls

Hyderabad, Jan.28 : TRS MP Dr Boora Narsaiah Goud today said the Congress will bite the dust in 2019 general elections and also would lose even the main Opposition status.

Talking to mediapersons here today, Narsaiah Goud Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will play a key role during 2019 general elections at the national level. The MP ridiculed that the Congress leaders, who totally ignored the plight of the Dalits, Tribals and BCs, were now trying to woo the people of five States going to polls. “The Congress will not even get main Opposition status as the people were not ready to vote them in the elections”, he charged.

The TRS MP also alleged that during six-decades’ rule, the Congress leaders made deliberate attempts to suppress the Dalits, Scheduled Tribes and Backward classes. “These three categories are lagging behind in all spheres due to deliberate attempts by the Congress regime”, he charged. The lopsided policies and inefficiency of the Congress leaders added to the woes of the SC, ST and BCs, he fumed.

Questioning whether the Congress has an MP or an MLC representing BC community, Narsaiah Goud condemned the Congress comments that statehood for the Telangana materialized due to sympathy of AICC Chief Sonia Gandhi. He asserted that the people voted the TRS to power. In 2019 also, the Telangana State will have K Chandrasekhar Rao as chief minister as destined, he said. “The TRS do not encourage sealed cover Chief Ministers as that of the Congress”, he quipped. He rejected the Opposition comments that the TRS had blindly extended support to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the note ban decision. The demonetization was being implemented by all States and Telangana was no exception, he said.

Boora also ridiculed the Congress for playing vote-bank politics by getting into alliance with different parties in the States going to polls. He accused the Congress of looting public money by Indiramma Housing scheme and the beneficiaries are yet to get their houses. The Congress, he said, will finally become a regional party falling from national level.
