One Held For Opening Fire@ Cockfight Venue

Tadepalligudem: In spite of the High Court banning cockfights, the fastidious organizers in several coastal districts are conducting the game and crores of rupees were changing hands in betting. In Srinivasapuram under Tadepalligudem mandal of West Godavari district, Dayakar of Khammam district opened three rounds in the air with his licensed revolver.

As soon as a cockfight began in Srinivasapuram, the man from Khammam opened fire making the onlookers run helter skelter. On receipt of the information, the police rushed to the spot and took the accused into custody and also seized his licensed revolver.
