TNTUC’s Peddireddy Defeats Nayani in Union Election
Hyderabad, Dec.25: The TNTUC (affiliated to TDP) candidate has won the Mahindra Laser Blades Company Union elections held here on Sunday. The TNTUC candidate Peddireddy won the election with five votes majority, against Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy.
Peddireddy won this election for the second consecutive year over Nayani. 460 candidates exercised their franchise in the elections, and four votes have become invalid. Peddireddy got 196 votes, and Nayani, who contested from the HMS Union got 191 votes. Kuna Srisailam Goud, who contested the election from INTUC, has got only 65 votes.
After the election, E Peddireddy said that the election result was a good answer to the leaders who speaks against the TDP saying that there was no TDP in Telangana. He said that the TDP cadre at ground level was still strong in Telangana though the 12 MLAs defected to TRS party. The TDP conducted the enrolment of the cadre in a constructive manner than any other political party in Telangana. He said that the enrollment program was extended up to December 31 on the request of the district conveners. He said that the enrolment reached to 5,90,358. He alleged that the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, who assured that he would do equal justice to people of the Telangana, failed to construct double bed room houses to the people except in two villages.
