Hyderabad: Powerstar Pawan Kalyan's most awaited movie 'Katamarayudu' is expected to release on March 29, 2017 on the eve of Ugadi. Shruti Haasan is the lady lead in this movie.

Katamarayudu is a remake of Ajith Kumar's Tamil blockbuster 'Veeram' which was released in 2014.

Despite 'Veeram' was dubbed into Telugu as 'Veerudokkade', Pawan Kalyan decided to go for a remake and initially announced that this remake would be directed by S.J.Suryah.

But to concentrate on his acting assignments Suryah left the project and Kishore Kumar Pardasany replaced him. This is for 2nd time Kishore Kumar Pardasany collaborating with Power Star after Gopala Gopala.

First-look poster of Katamarayudu was unveiled on October 29, on the eve of Diwali. Teaser is expected to release on Sankranti.
