AP Minister's Car hits Scooter, Two injured

Visakhapatnam, Nov 3: In a road accident a couple suffered serious injuries when a car rammed into their two-wheeler from behind near Somannapalem in Yellamanchili mandal near here. The car belongs to Andhra Pradesh Education Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao. The accident took place when the minister was returning to Vishakhapatnam after attending a Janmabhoomi and Maa Vooru programme in the mandal. Somannapalem villagers rushed the injured couple to the Government Hospital at Yellamanchili. The condition of the RMP's wife Lakshmi, who suffered sever head injuries, is said to be critical. She is reported to have vomitted while being taken to the hospital. Latest reports said the injured couple were being rushed to the 100-bed government hospital at Anakapalle.
