Don't Blame Previous Regime On Power Supply : Jana Reddy

Hyderabad : Questioning the TRS government to tell whether it constructed any new project and produced a single unit power newly in the state, Opposition leader in the Legislative Assembly K Jana Reddy made it clear that the ruling party has said that the state was getting sufficient power only because of Congress government’s strong foundation in power sector.

He suggested to the TRS government not to criticise the previous Congress government and said that the Congress government constructed Bhupalapally, Jaipur, Jurala, Pulichintala power projects. He demanded the state government to initiate action against the previous rulers if they committed any mistake in power sector.

Participating in the short discussion on power status in the state on Saturday in the Legislative Assembly, Jana Reddy alleged that the Bhadradri power project will not be completed as assured by the TRS government. The state will incur Rs.7500crore if the Bhadradri project constructed with the sub-critical technology more so the project not yet got the permissions to the project. He alleged that the TRS government not yet started the construction of KTPS  seventh phase and the Yadadri project will not be completed even after four years.

He said that due to back down of Genco the state incurred Rs.400 crore loss. He alleged that the domestic consumers were facing severe power tariffs due to non-telescopic method of bills and demanded the government to implement the power tariffs as per telescopic method bills. He alleged that the state will incur heavy losses if the government failed to move forward with proper plan in power sector.
