Bengal BJP Leader Arrested With Rs 33 Lakh New Notes
Kolkata: West Bengal BJP leader Manish Sharma was arrested on Tuesday with Rs 33 lakh new notes. Manish was allegedly indulging in exchange of Rs 1000 and Rs 500 demonetised notes. In the recent West Bengal assembly election Manish Sharma fought on BJP ticket from the Bardhaman district. According the the media reports he was arrested with 6 other people were trying to exchange the banned notes. STF (Special Task Force) from Raniganj coal belt caught Mr.Sharma and sent him to police custody. Dilip Ghosh, West Bengal BJP president told to media that Manish Sharma has worked with party for a few months during the elections and his responsibilities to manage Ranjiganj were withdrawn already. He also told that Sharma's party membership will be kept under suspension till he proves his innocence.
