New Delhi: Since PM Modi's announcement of demonetisaation, Bihar CM Nitish Kumar has been rendering his support for the massive reform. Today he once again voiced in favour of the decision. On Saturday, while delivering his key note address at Hindustan Times Leadership Summit Nitish said that " I supported currency ban because I think it’s a good step. But we should remember that just by stopping black money may not end black money. We have to target other important areas where black money is involved including benami properties, jewellery, land and liquor. In liquid currency, there is hardly we can find black money. If we can hit all the areas together then there would be an cumulative effect.” Although opposition parties including his grand alliance partners RJD and Congress criticising the Modi's move, Nitish continuing his support. When reporters enquired about the survival of Bihar's grand alliance, he said “What is the basis for this question? Bihar people have given their mandate for five years. So obviously minimum for 5 years alliance will stay. After that Janata will decide."
