It would be a ‘Perestroika’ for PM Modi : YS Jagan

YSRCP President YS Jagan brought analogy between currency demonetisation and USSR's ‘Perestroika’ (a political reformation movement which caused dissolution of USSR). Speaking to media, he criticised that government has taken demonetisation decision without making basic arrangements to meet the repercussions. He opined that this decision would turn into a political disaster for PM Modi for throwing the common man into acute financial distress. Soon after announcement our party welcomed the decision but we are utterly disappointed with the present chaotic situation caused because of improper implementation. YS Jagan alleged that selective leaks to a selective group of people were made before announcing the decision. The circumstantial evidence proves that AP CM also one among that group. He questioned CM Chandrababu Naidu's dual tone over the issue. Till today crores of citizens have no access to banking facility. So the government should review the decision and implement after strengthening necessary mechanisms. Analysing the present situation YS Jagan said "In history so many great decisions with improper implementation, have turned into great disasters. Mikhael Gorbachev's Perestroika reformation movement for Glasnost policy(openness/ transparency) reform is one of the examples. Due to improper implementation, Gorbachev's plans got boomeranged, an economy was ruined and USSR got disintegrated into several small countries."
