A film on India's first Olympic medal

Bollywood Superstar Akshay Kumar unveiled the first look of his upcoming film titled as 'Gold'. Gold is a film based on the historic story of India's first Olympic medal as a free nation which was set in 1948. He tweeted "Set in 1948, the historic story of India's first Olympic medal as a free nation, #GOLD coming to you on 15th August, 2018!" He even confirmed the film's release on August 15th, 2018. Actually, India's first Olympic medal won at XIV Olympiad London in 1948 and the movie is going to focus on the same. Bollywood is known for Biopics and making a story on historic events, so this film grabbed the attention of everyone as it's about India's first Olympic medal. The movie was directed by Reema Kagti of 'Taalash' fame and it was produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar. After Airlift and Rustom, we need to wait and see how Akshay Kumar won the hearts of the audience with this 'Gold' movie which was slated for release on August 15, 2018.
