TS MPs to identify Nodal Districts

The central government has told the Telangana MPs to inform fresh list of nodal districts. The centre has sought the details after reorganisation of the districts by the state government. According, MPLADs guidelines, every MP has to inform the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, the state government and the collector of the district concerned about his or her choice of the nodal district. The funds are released to the collector of the district. With the reorganisation, the Lok Sabha constituencies in the state spread over two to four districts. Earlier, Adilabad district has one Lok Sabha constituency and now the district reorganised into four. The MP is set to select particular district and inform the government. A total of Rs. 1,218.19 crore available under MPLADS with 10 districts collectors. If MPs choose their nodal district, the district collector needs to transfer the funds to the nodal district collector.
