Brahmotsavams started in Tirumala

Salakatla Brahmotsavam started in Tirumala today evening. Dhwajarohanam has been carried out in a religious atmosphere amidst the chanting of Vedic mantras by the Archakas of the temple at the Dwajasthambham, near the Nadimi Padi Kavili inside the temple complex. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandra Babu Naidu presented 'Pattuvastrams' to the Lord Venkateswara. He attended the religious procession along with his wife Bhuvaneswari. Salakatla Brahmotsavam continues for nine days from today. Lakhs of devotees are expected to participate in the Brahmotsavams.
