All tanks around GHMC are full

Hyderabad, Sept.24: Water in lakes in and around the capital city of Hyderabad under the jurisdiction of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) reached to full capacity level following heavy rains for the last four days that lashed the city. The water level in 24 lakes in the limits of Hyderabad and neighboring Ranga Reddy districts crossed danger level and posed a threat of inundation of nearby areas. The lakes where the inflow of water crossed danger level include: Pedda Cheruvu (Nacharam), Ramanthapur Cheruvu, Nagole Cheruvu, Mir Alam Tank, Nalla Cheruvu, Tirumalagiri Tank, Banda and Ramanna Cheruvu.
