Salaries for Archakas, temple staff: Endowment Minister

Hyderabad, Sept. 21: Endowment Minister A Indrakaran Reddy today directed the officials to prepare an action plan for payment of salaries for Pujaris, the staff of temples in the state besides protecting the lands of the temples. Along with government advisor KV Ramanachary and officials, the Minister held a review meeting on the development of the temples. It may be said that the government constituted a cabinet sub-committee to look into these issues. Besides the wages for Archakas and temple staff, the report should comprise modalities for providing financial allocation for regular rituals of pujas in the temples including Dhupa, Deepa and Naivedyam. He also asked to focus on revenue increasing measures by leasing out the lands and properties of the endowment department.
