Amanullah blames govt for traffic jams in city

Hyderabad, Sept.18: Bangaru Telangana Party State convener Mohd Amanullah Khan has demanded that the State government formulate proper action plans to control the worsening vehicular traffic problem day after day. Speaking to mediapersons here on Sunday, Amanullah Khan said the citizens were experiencing severe hardships due to the exasperating traffic jams and spending their valuable time while traveling in the City. Alleging that the State government remained criminally negligent on road widening works contributing to unbearable traffic jams, he demanded that the former immediately initiate measures to strengthen public road transport system to relieve the people from the traffic jams in the city. He also suggested that the government prohibit plying of private vehicles carrying less than three persons, including driver. Demanding that the State government enforce total prohibition in the State, Amanullah Khan announced he would undertake fast-unto-death from October 2. BTP leaders K. Lakshminarsaiah, Shaik Raheem, Mohd Azizuddin, Mohd Latif, Farooq and others were present.
