Chevella CI, SI suspended for harassing Nayeem victims

Hyderabad, Aug.27: The State government has suspended Chevella CI Upendra and SI Shekar, who allegedly harassed those who came to lodge a complaint against slain gangster Nayeem. It may be recalled that the SIT head Nagi Reddy, who was interrogating Nayeem case, said that the persons who had links with Nayeem can lodge a complaint at their respective police stations. Many victims were coming to the police stations to lodge complaints against Nayeem. As part of it, some persons came to Chevella police station to lodge a complaint against Nayeem. It is learnt that CI and SI harassed the persons came to lodge a complaint against Nayeem. In this connection, the government imposed suspension against them.
