Obama Aide Raja Krishnamurthi runs for US Congress
Delhi-born Raja Krishnamurthi is running for the US Congress with the suppoprt from President Barack Obama and with the goodwill of three million Indian NRIs in the US. Mechanical-engineer-turned lawyer, Raja has the support of Obama because he was adviser to the future President when he ran for the Senate. Raja has also the goodwill of the Indians. In this connection, a fund-rising event was held at the residence of former TANA president, Dr Thotakura Prasad at Calleyville Texas. Raja has the support of 100 US Congressmen apart from President Obama. Dr Prasad said on the occasion that Krishnamurthi's election would benefit the immigrants and the common people in America. He was sure Krishnamurthi would definitely be elected to the US Congress.
