Telangana staff object to furniture shift by AP men

The Andhra Pradesh employees bid to move lock, stock and barrel to new capital Amaravati hit a snag on Thursday when their Telangana counterparts objected to their AP colleagues taking away furniture. The orders to the AP employees was to bring the furniture with them, as no new furniture was available in Amaravati. When they wanted to take their furniture with them, the Telangana staff put the brakes, arguing they could not do so. The furniture part appears to have not been mentioned in the relevant schedule so far as the nitty gritty is concerned. Owing to their locus standi, the Telangana staff could object to furniture shifting. Even in the Social Welfare Department, the Telangana staff had objected to the files being taken away by AP employees on the ground that the files belonged to them. The police had to intervene to settle the matters.
