Karnam Balaram objects to Gottipati move

Tensions again rose between the Gottipati and Karanam Balaram groups in the TDP in Prakasam district on Wednesday. Gottipati Ravikumar, MLA, went to Bullikuruva village to distribute the newly sanctioned pensions for the poor. The Balaram faction opposed it on the ground that they were not informed of the pension distribution and objected to the officials distributing the pension pattas. Some of the pension money was from the pockets of Gottipati, it is learned. However, there was tension with both the groups entering the fray. Additional police reinforcements were brought so that the situation does not get out of hand. Both the groups moved the Chief Minister's secretariat, complaining against each other. Ever since the young Gottipati walked into the ruling TDP from the YCP, there has been a power tussle in the party in the district.
