Srisailam reservoir level rises 6ft in one day

Good news for Rayalaseema people that water level in the Srisailam reservoir is rising, with 6 ft rise in the reservoir level in the past 24 hours. The level in the reservoir is 824.6 ft on Tuesday. The total capacity of Srisailam is 885 ft. With the rain forecast for the next 3 days in Karnataka, Srirsailam will receive good amount of water. At this rate, the reservoir is expected to be full in a week's time. It is only after Srisailam reaches full reservoir level that Pothireddypadu will operate taking water to Rayalaseema districts.
