Indian Gynec sentenced to 8 years for harassing pregnant patients in UK

An Indian origin gynecologist, Dr Mahesh Patwardhan, was charged with serial sexual harassment of his patients for 4 years between 2008 and 2012, and jailed for 8 years by the Crown Court of London. Working in the Louis Home Area in Greenwich, London, Dr Patwardhan is stated to have sexually harassed his patients. In fact, one of his pregnant patients had threatened to commit suicide over the sexual harassment. The NRI doctor was working in Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Dr Patwardhan had denied the charges vehemently, but the court decided otherwise. The London General Medical Association had scrapped his membership. The judge considered all these factors and convicted him. The Judge delivered the sentence while the Patwardhan family comprising his wife, son and daughter was present.
