Telangana violating Krishna River Board plans, says Devineni
Andhra Pradesh Major Irrigation Minister Devineni Uma said on Saturday that his State was opposed to the statements being made by Telangana leaders in regard to irrigation projects. He referred to the Krishna River Board favouring AP as stated by Telangana leaders and said that it was Telangana that was not following the River Board recommendations. Devineni suggested that the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act be adhered to in the matter of water also because the combined State was split on the basis of the Act. It was not fair on the part of Telangana to complain against AP in regard to irrigation projects, he added. Telangana Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao was to go to Delhi to complain against AP reservations on the projects.
