Diggiraja says BJP Ministerial panel can okay SCS

Diggiraja for once said something useful for Andhra Pradesh on Thursday. The Congress in-charge for Andhra Pradesh, Digvijay Singh, said a ministerial committee of the Union Cabinet could announce the promised Special Category Status for AP. Talking to newsmen in Delhi, Digvijay Singh said if the BJP-led government had good intentions for AP, the BJP should fully support the Private Member's Bill presented by Congress Elder KVP Ramachandra Rao. He found fault with the BJP government that it had not fulfilled a single promise in 2 years. It could at least fulfill the promise made to Andhra Pradesh on the SCS. While the AP Reorganisation Bill was passed by the previous Congress-led government, senior BJP leaders had not only endorsed the Bill but also increased the provisions in favour of the remnant AP.
