Uma promises to secure AP's water interests

Andhra Pradesh Irrigation Minister Devineni Uma said on Saturday that he would strive to secure the State's interests as for river waters. Speaking at a water-harvesting site at Vinukonda in Guntur district, the Minister revealed that he had requested th krishna Board to release water for drinking water purposes in the Andhra districts. He hoped the board's permission would be granted shortly. In this connection, Uma hailed the efforts of Eenadu-ETV group for saving water. He expressed his thanks to Chairman of the Group, Ramoji Rao, for taking up `Sujala-Suphalam' programme. JV Anjaneyulu, MLA, and others took part in the Vinukonda programme.
