Save kids in Telangana from the shadow of drought, Nobel Laureate pleads
Telangana is passing through the worst throes of drought, Nobel Laureate and children rights activist Kailash Satyarthi told a media meet in New Delhi on Tuesday. He urged the State and Central governments to ensure that the children did not fall prey to the drought conditions. Satyarthi said the drought had cast its shadow on lakhs of children in the country. He, therefore, urged the Centre to declare a state of emergency to fight drought conditions. He urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao to save the children from the shadow of drought. He urged the people in general to save water from wastage.
