Jagan mission to prevent Sujaykrishna, brother Baby from defecting to TDP
While the YCP appeared to be reconciled to dozen defections making no moves to prevent their MLAs crossing over to the ruling TDP, the opposition party was now trying its best to stop the Bobbili Rajas, Sujayakrishna Rangarao and his brother, Baby Naina, Vizianagaram YCP president, from quitting the party, although the Raja had already made the announcement. The Bobbili Rajas had already made their intentions clear at the time of entry into the party of former PCC chief, Bothsa Satyanarayana, over district leadership, but YCP leader Jaganmohan Reddy personally intervened in the matter and resolved the situation for the time being. But Bothsa is a heavyweight himself. Sujayakrishna again made his intentions of joining the ruling TDP clear by talking to the local ruling party leaders whether they had any objection to his crossing over and also stating that he would first resign from the YCP before defecting. While the YCP made no move despite Sujayakrishna's second announcement, it had suddenly acted on Thursday morning. Party leader Jaganmohan Reddy is sending his close associates, Chandragiri MLA Chevireddy Bhaskarareddy and chief party general secretary Vijay Saireddy to rush to Bobbili and prevent the Raja brothers from defecting. Last time itself, only Jaganmohan Reddy's direct intervention had prevented the brothers from defecting. This time too, it appears that the Chevireddy and Vijay Saireddy mission is unlikely to prevent the brothers, unless of course Jagan intervenes again.
