Jagan decision on PAC resented by YCP MLAs
The YCP leader, Jaganmohan Reddy's decision to appoint party MLA, Rajendranath Reddy, of Dhone in Kurnool, as Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee was on Tuesday resented by party leaders. The poisiton vacated by Bhuma Nagireddy following his crossing over to the ruling TDP was sought by many YCP MLAs. Among them were Palamner MLA N. Amarnath Reddy, Punganur MLA Peddireddy Ramachandrareddy and YCP deputy leader Jyothula Nehru. Amarnath Reddy told newsmen that Jagan's decision was unilateral. He did not consult anybody. Jagan announed his decision to appoint Rajendranath Reddy at the YCLP meeting on Monday. Amarnath Reddy was not so unhappy that he did not get the position because he was among those who wanted the position to go to Jyothula because he belonged to the Kapu community. In the event, the Jagan decision had surprised him as the others. At the same time, Amarnath made the point that everyone believed that Chittoor leaders were smart, but then they were always at the wrong end in regard to positions.
