AP Speaker okays no-trust move, leaves date to BAC
Andhra Pradesh Assembly Speaker Kodela Sivaprasad Rao on Monday permitted the YCP No-Confidence Motion, discussion and voting on it against the Chandrababu Naidu government in the House, leaving fixing the date for taking it up to the Business Advisory Committee of the House. The YCP gave the No-Confidence Motion on the ground that the government had failed to meet people's aspirations. It was signed by 15 YCP members. As the House met this morning, YCP Depyty leader, Jyotula Nehru, moved the motion after question hour. After the motion, the Speaker adjourned the House for 10 minutes. The motion is very likely to be defeated, but it will give an opportunity to the YCP leader, Jaganmohan Reddy, to make a tirade against the government and catch the imagination of the people. The YCP has made a case of Capital real estate in the Amaravati area apportioned by leaders of ruling TDP nearly successfully. The no-trust move arises from the limited success of the party in regard to land pooling by TDP.
