YCP leader Roja's suspension case to go before Special Court

The YCP leader, RK Roja's case before the Supreme Court questioning her suspension by the Andhra Pradesh Assembly for 1 year was not taken up by the Division Bench of Justice Jagdish Kehar and Justice Nagappan on Friday. As Roja's lawyer rose to plead, Justice Kehar told him that the bench would not hear the case. He said the bench would transfer the case to another bench, which would take up the case on Monday. A Special Constitutional Court has been formed in the Supreme Court, which is expected to take up Roja's case. Roja had earlier approached the AP High Court, which did not take up the case. The delicacy of Roja's case is that it impinges on the powers of the State Assembly. So the Supreme Court has tranfered it to the Special Constitutional court.
