Jana Reddy faults Speaker decision on TDP defectors
K. Jana Reddy, Congress Legislature Party leader, on Friday questioned the Speaker S. Madhusudanachary decision approving of merger of 12 TDP defectors' group in the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samiti party. He said he was surprised by the Speaker decision. `We are totally opposed to the Speaker decision. The Constitutional leaders, who are supposed to implement the laws and Constitution, cannot be expected to violate the very laws they should uphold. Any ruling should be such as to uphold the Constitution,' he added. The CLP leader participated in the condolence meeting in the Assembly following the death of Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee Ramreddy Venkatreddy. The House was adjourned after the meeting. Immediately thereafter, Jana Reddy participated in the Business Advisory Committee meet of the House. He made the comments on the Speaker as he emerged from the BAC meet.
