Amma Jaya sacks two Telugu Ministers

Amma Jayalalithaa is somehow unhappy with the Telugus of late. Whatever be her reasons, first she had made Tamil the sole medium of instruction, specifically aimed at inconveniencing the Telugu school students in Tamil Nadu, who constitute the largest linguistic minority group in that State. Now, within a gap of 10 days, the AIADMK government has shown the door to two Telugu-speaking ministers, BV Ramana and TKM Chinnaiah (both animal husbandry). Governor K. Rosaiah on Wednesday sacked Chinnaiah from the Cabinet following a recommendation by the Jayalalithaa government. Why is Jayalalithaa holding the linguistic animus only she would be able to reveal, but it should not be so glaring as she is making it to be. Most of the Tamil politicos have Andhra origins, including former Chief Minister M. Karunanaidhi and Vaiko, to name two. If she has anything against them, why should Jayalalithaa take it out on the linguistic minority? She very well knows the Andhras wish her well.
