In the Lok Sabha, Speaker Sumitra Mahajan had repeatedly uged the Opposition members to maintain calm for the proceedings of the House to begin. `I don't understand what you want to say,' she told them. `Pl go back to your seats, only then can i can hear you,' she urged them to no avail. The opposition members who were seated raised shouts of `we want justice.' The House was adjourned at 12 noon to meet again at 2 p.m. NDA Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Muqtar Abbas Naqvi has charged that the Houses disruption was the strategy of the Opposition to defeat any meaningful debate in the Houses.
