Star Balakrishna pedals his way to Lepakshi

Tollywood Star Balakrishna has not only hit the cycle but taking a ride on it, too, for the benefit of the ruling TDP. Balaiah, as the film star is fondly called, made a symbolic ride on the bicycle on Wednesday, coinciding with the Lepakshi celebrations. Covering 16 km in 40 minutes, the star pedalled his way as if he were on Tour de France, the symbol of France. The French cannot be separated from their cycle symbol as much as the TDP in AP. Flagging open the cycle rally to mark the celebrations, Balaiah could not resist the temptation of taking a ride. He cycled from Korikonda checkpost in Chilamattur mandal in Anantpur to the Lepakshi statue. With the star on a bicycle, the youth in the rally had fun time covering the distance. Bystanders praised the star for his gesture. Balakrishna is an MLA from the neighbouring Hindupur constituency, which is his father, NT Rama Rao's bastion.
