Sunrisers draft Yuvraj Singh for Rs.7 crore
Star cricketer Yuvraj Singh is on the losing side so far as IPL auctions are concerned. In the last season, Yuvraj had a premium of Rs.16 crore as against the previous season's Rs.12 crore. This season he carries a premium of Rs.7 crore only. It's a matter of local interest that Hyderabad's Sunrisers and Bangalore's Royal Challengers hammered long for Yuvi on Saturday morning. At the end of bidding, Sunrisers got him for Rs.7 crore. If not for the stiff bidding, Yuvi could have fetched less premium. Australia's Shane Watson, on the other hand, fetched a premium of Rs.9.5 crore. He was drafted by Royal Challengers. Star English cricketer Kevin Pieterssen was drafted by Pune for Rs. 3.5 crore, and Ishant Sharma by the same team for Rs.3.8 crore. Dwain Smith of the West Indies was drafted by Rajkot side for Rs.2.3 crore. The cricket auctions show that Star values are coming down fast. As some Hindi channel has dubbed, it maybe satta cricket.
