300 masked men behind Tuni arson marked
The police have marked nearly 300 masked men behind the large-scale arson in Tuni on Sunday last when an entire train was burnt down and also two police stations were set on fire. The Railways, the Railway Police Force, the Government Railway Police and the State police are jointly trying to identify the masked men. The government has meanwhile appealed to the Kapu community members, the TV channels and press photographers to give the negatives of the Tuni incident to conclusively establish the identity of the masked men who indulged in large-scale sabotage. The saboteurs set fire to the Ratnachal Express that runs between Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam and a day train. Had it been some other Express going beyond the two stations, the arson would have resulted in large-scale deaths, say railway sources. It was found that while majority of those remained spectators of the arson incidents in Tuni, some 300 had ventured to the railway tracks and set fire to the train. Similarly, the masked men had set fire to the police stations while masking their identity. In this regard, the police have appealed to the public who may haven taken snaps of the burning incidents with their smartphones to upload the pictures on the social media so the men behind the mask could be identified and action taken. The police believe that the anti-social elements had deliberately targeted the train and the police stations to create large-scale violence. The masked men had a pucca plan to create disturbances in the Tuni incidents, the police added.
