35 behind Tuni violence identified
The Andhra Pradesh police, who were shocked by the scale of violence at Tuni, could come out of it only the morning after, that too after Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu took them to task for their failure to anticipate or control it. The police identified 35 culprits, but did not reveal thier names. Seven DSPs have been put on the job of identifying more culprits. The DSPs would lead teams to identify the agitators who resorted to violence. Police brass are visiting Tuni where unprecedented Kapu violence occurred. North Coastal Andhra IG Vishwajeet, DG RP Thakur, Elur range DIG Harikumar were checking the spots of violnece in Tuni. The burnt down Ratnachal Express is being examined by the local Tuni police. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu held a teleconference with the officials and directed them to ensure that no untoward incident occurred in Tuni. He also told them to ensure the other potential trouble spots in Andhra also stayed calm.
