Salwinder Singh brazens it out despite narco tests

Assistant Commandant of the Punjab Police Armed Battalion Salwinder Singh, who underwent a narco analysis test on Tuesday, came out to say even if he were questioned 10 times, `You can't get anything out of me.' Salwinder's confidence has come out as a dampener to the National Investigation Agency which suspects a big role for the Punjab police official in the Pathankot airbase terror attack. The Punjab police officer had given away his official car to the terrorists who had stormed the airbase, enabling them to do so at the appointed hour of 3 am on January 1. Salwinder Singh had claimed that the terrorists had hijacked his official car with blue beacon light, sparing his life because he had pretended to be a common man, while he was traveling along with his cook, Madan Gopal, and jeweller friend, Rajesh Verma. The jeweller had however his throat slit, but survived after admission to hospital. It's a different story that the jeweller friend had told the interrogating officials that Salwinder Singh was already hunting with Pakistan-based smugglers and got his payments in diamonds. The narcotics pushers also smuggled arms into India, NIA suspects. Salwinder Singh boasted further: "No agency can get anything out of me. Because I have nothing to do with the Pathankot airbase terror attack. Actually I did not do anything. Even if they were to question me 10 times, that would be my answer."
