VHP wants Parliament to pass Ram temple law

The 1,000 million Hindus are not amenable to the idea of waiting for the courts to decide the issue of construction of Ram mandir in Ayodhya in fulfilment of their historic wish, Vishwa Hindu Parishad leader Praveen Togadia has said. The Hindus are also not amenable to the long delays in the court decisions for the construction, he said. Instead the VHP would prefer the path chosen by first Union Home Minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in the reconstruction of the Somnath temple in Gujarat. Talking to the media, Togadia said a law in regard to the construction of Ram temple should be passed by Parliament. This was to the liking of the VHP. The issue of Ram temple should be seen as fulfilment of Hindu beliefs and faith only. He added that the VHP had the single demand for the construction of a Ram temple in Ayodhya. It would like to tread the path chosen by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel for the construction of the Somnath temple.
