Wedding cancellation leads to suicide pact by family

The cancellation of a wedding by the groom has led to the family of the bride dying in a suicide pact. The family belonging to Kota fixed an alliance with the groom in Jaipur. Deeksha of Kota and Kamal of Jaipur were engaged to be married. After the engagement, the date for the wedding was fixed, and marriage preparations were underway on the girl's side. Suddenly, Kamal on December 30 rang up Deeksha and told her the marriage deal was off. The Deeksha family filed a complaint in this regard. The self-respecting family subsequently felt socially they would still face a stigma. They decided to end their lives. Deeksha and her parents consumed poison. The police, who came to know of the suicide pact, got the family members admitted to a hospital. All the three succumbed to poisoning in the hospital.
