The person uploaded a picture in the social media showing packed people atop Delhi metro bogies to discredit the car formula and to project it as dangerous to the citizens. The effort to beat pollution in the nation's capital is thus sought to be thwarted in the highly surcharged political atmosphere, to which ruling AAP adds fuel in no small measure. Even as the picture comment was doing the rounds, Hindustan Times daily coming out with the truth that it had published the picture during Diwali in 2014 had a salutary effect on the matter. HT also stated that its picture was morphed and used. The honest admission has put paid to the netizens' critical comments on the car formula. Netizens and citizens cannot afford to be swayed by emotions but coolly reflect on the laws and rules and regulations towards a knowledgeable society. They can hardly afford to act like politicians, jumping at every issue, and lax on law-making. After all, the laws affect everyone, the odd-even formula Delhiites directly and visitors indirectly. Pollution is avoidable by all.
