AP to develop core capital at Rayapudi village
Hyderabad, Dec 26: The Andhra Pradesh government is said to have zeroed in on Rayapudi village to construct the core capital of Amaravati. The core capital area is expected to house the secretariat and the assembly, sources said. Sources said the seed area capital master plan identified Rayapudi village, which is located on the banks of river Krishna in Guntur district. History identifies Rayapudi as a village formed during Sri Krishnadevaraya rule. According to the master plan, offices of the AP ministers are likely to be located at Abbarajupalem near Undavalli.
