Be tongue-tied or face cut, Sujata tells Roja

AP Minister Peethala Sujata has said she would cut the tongue of YCP leader R.K. Roja if she continues to make statements against Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu or the Dalits. Sujata alleged that Roja's intemperate language was so demeaning that women members were hesitating to attend the State Assembly proceedings. She sought an Assembly ban for life for Roja. The YCP leader has been suspended for 1 year from attending the State Assembly proceedings. The ban is expected to be increased because the earlier ruling had taken only Roja's remarks against the Chief Minister into consideration. Subsequently, there were demands by the treasury benches that Roja's remarks against Dalit members also should be considered. Sujata's call strengthens the demand. The minister further alleged that YCP leader Jaganmohan Reddy, who was riding on the Dalit vote, was now undermining the very constituency.
