Dad dies in daughter's lap after road accident in Bachupally

Hyderabad, Nov 30: A fatally injured 56-year-old father is reported to have breathed his last in his 20-year-old daughter's lap after being involved in a road accident in Bachupally. The accident occurred on Sunday morning as the father, identified as Chimalakonda Srinivas Rao, was taking his daughter, identified as Sai Tejaswini, on a two-wheeler from RTC crossroads to Bachupally. Sai Tejaswini was to take her CAT entrance exam. When they reached Sainath Society, a tanker is said to have rammed their two-wheeler from behind. Due to the impact the two were thrown off the two-wheeler and they fell on the road. Though Tejaswini recovered from the impact, she found her father lying unconscious on the road. After taking her father in her lap, Tejaswini appealed for help from passersby, who called up for an ambulance. However, Srinivas is said to have breathed his last with his head in his daughter’s lap even as he was being taken to a hospital.
