Modi's intervention brings back red sanders smuggler Gangi Reddy
Hyderabad, Nov 16: Thanks to the recent intervention of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Mauritius deported red sanders smuggler Kollam Gangi Reddy and he is in the custody of Andhra Pradesh police in Hyderabad. Sources said Modi spoke to the Prime Minister of Mauritius Anerood Jugnaut for cooperation on Gangi Reddy. following which, the Mauritius Prime Minister signed Gangi Reddy's deportation order. Even though Gangi Reddy had hired a top barrister and an MP of Mauritius, the AP CID was able to get hold of the smuggler folowing Modi's intervention. Meanwhile, investigations in Rayalaseema revealed that several DySPs and inspectors had helped Gangi reddy to escape from the state. Gangi Reddy is believed to have gifted villas to all these police officials. Now, all of them are likely to face probe.
