Delhi HC not to stop Deepika Padukone's Gillette Razor Ad
Hyderabad, Nov 9: The Delhi High Court decided against stopping a Gillette razor advertisement, which starred Deepika Padukone, after hearing a plea by Reckitt Benckiser. In its plea, Reckitt Benckiser claimed the advertisement belittles its hair removal cream and, therefore, was affecting its business. The bench of the Delhi High Court issued a notice to Procter & Gamble Hygiene and Health Care Ltd and Gillette India Ltd seeking their responses on Reckitt's petition. Earlier, a single judge of the high court refused to pass an interim order staying the Gillette India advertisement. In its plea, Reckitt claimed Gillette's advertisement on Venus Razor belittles the reputation of its product, i.e. Veet hair removal cream. Deepika's video terms Reckitt cream product as "same old".
