Srinu Vaitla booked for dowry harassment, domestic violence

Hyderabad, Oct 27: Banjara Hills police registered a case a against noted director Srinu Vaitla for allegedly abusing his wife and fashion designer Roopa Vaitla. Roopa has registered the complaint with Banjara Hills police on October 15 alleging that Srinu Vaitla has been mentally harassing her for dowry. A case was filed under Section 498 A of the IPC. Though Roopa withdrew her complaint the next day, police registered cases and took up the probe. Police asked Roopa to approach the court to withdraw the case. It is said that several bigwigs intervened and settled the issue and persuaded Roopa to withdraw the complaint. Roopa designed costumes for Samantha in Dookudu and Kajal Aggarwal in Baadshah.
