Microsoft set to chop more jobs
Hyderabad, Oct 23: Despite reporting a better than expected quarterly revenue, Microsoft Corp indicated that it would be cutting costs and also streamlining its operations by focussing on lucrative businesses, reports said.
As part of its cost-cutting measure, the company was planning to eliminate at least 1,000 jobs, or about 1 percent of its workforce.
A spokesperson for the company said that the job cuts were spread across more than one business area and country.
The spokesperson said these job cuts will be in addition to the 7,800 jobs that Microsoft decided to cut in July.
