Gold zooms Rs 660, silver jumps Rs 1,200
Hyderabad, Oct 3: Halting its five-day tumbling streak, gold bounced back by Rs 660 to trade at Rs 26,810 per 10 grams at the bullion market today, reports said. This is the biggest one-day gain this year. Gold had recovered 2.1 per cent to $ 1,136.60 an ounce in New York yesterday even as the US payrolls rose less than expected in September and wages stagnated. Meanwhile, silver jumped by Rs 1,200 to settle at Rs 35,800 per kg due to increased offtake by coin makers and industrial units.
