HC to pronounce orders on sacked power staff on Tuesday

Hyderabad, Sept 19: The High Court of Judicature at Hyderabad announced that it would pronounce its orders on the petitions pertaining to the 1,200 employees, who were terminated by the Telangana power utilities. This was stated by a Division Bench of the High Court comprising Justice R. Subhash Reddy and Justice A.Shankara Narayana. The 1,200 employees had approached the HC and were successful in obtaining interim stay orders. Despite the stay orders, the Telangana power utilities did not take them back. They were also not paid their salaries for the last three months. Instead, the power utilities filed petitions in the HC to vacate the interim orders. After hearing the closing arguments on behalf of the power utilities and the Telangana government, the HC said fresh orders will be pronounced on Tuesday.
